Reflection

My reflection: I loved creating my patchwork quilt. It was fun and I enjoyed using Matisse's cut-out style on different types of material. I loved using bold colors and cutting different shapes to create my work.

The aim: my aim was to create an interesting and colorful price of art work inspired by Henri Matisse. The art work also needed to have told a story.

How Henri Matisse inspired me: I used Matisse's rule, no sketches or outlines to cut around. I used bold colours to make different areas of my work stand out.

The difficulties: Cutting small shapes with felt was quite hard, I needed to concentrate a lot so that I don't make any extra cuts in my shape.

The design reflecting on my identity: It reflects on my identity by telling a story about my life using detailed shapes and different colours.
